NewGen Buy Cars, a trade name of NewGen Financial Services, 818 E Walnut St, Santa Ana, CA 92701 (“we”, “us”), buys used vehicles from private sellers. This policy explains what information we collect on newgenbuycars.com and by phone and text, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, mobile phone number, ZIP code.
- Vehicle details: year, make, model, mileage, VIN, condition, title status, photos.
- Calls and texts with us. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so we can prepare your offer and improve our service. We tell you at the start of a call when it may be recorded.
- How you found us: the ad or website you came from, and basic technical data such as browser type.
How we use it
- To review your vehicle and make you a cash offer.
- To call and text you about your request, an inspection, pickup and payment, including automated and AI-assisted calls and texts when you have agreed to them.
- To complete the purchase paperwork required of a licensed California dealer (CA Dealer #84511).
- To see which of our ads work, so we spend less on the ones that do not.
Text messages and your mobile number
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We use service providers (for example, our phone and text provider) only to deliver our own messages to you. See our SMS Terms. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
Who else sees your information
Only service providers that help us run the business (phone and text delivery, call recording, our customer records system, website hosting), and government agencies such as the California DMV when the law requires it for a vehicle purchase. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep records of vehicle purchases as long as California dealer rules require. Other requests are kept for up to 3 years, or less if you ask us to delete them.
Your choices and California rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of calls and texts at any time.
